I called the national headquarters, and they were not able to help me except to tell me to try other companies or call back tomorrow to see what may be available.
Wow! I have rented many, many times at this location. I have more often than not received dirty cars that I have had to wash myself. I have also been told in the past that a car I ordered was not available, but they have made it right. Today, I received a phone call after hours telling me that they had no car available for me tomorrow. The following comments were made:
Nor they changed my car, it was having fall smell, citing a reason they don't have any spare car, indeed for whole week they did not had.
Do improve your service like Enterprise, which is just across the road.
I had to call Uber to reach there, Same issue happened after a week when I dropped off.
Outcome- I found a larger SUV for only $20.00 more at Alamo. Now I know to try other places.
Its ok, but lacks staff. I am done with AVIS.
I tried to call back immediately and no answer. I went by the rental office to find out it was already closed. I understand their position, but they were unable to provide me with any answers. I have been a loyal customer and ignored all the complaints from others. BUT, when I went by the rental office, there was an entire row of cars including a small SUV (what I had ordered,) full size cars, a pick up, and several others. Since I had reserved my car over two months in advance, I was not happy.
"Imagine how difficult this is for me. I have no cars."
Double charged $1700. No customer support to work on a refund. Won't answer emails or calls to resolve issue. Enterprise is more expensive but probably worth it given the Avis hassle.
"What do you expect me to do? It is at the end of the weekend."
They don't have drivers to pick you up. I have booked my car well in advance and requested them for a pickup. At the time of appointment When I called them the stack told me that they don't have any driver right now. Indeed they provide only morning pickup and drop off while my appointment was in afternoon.
I rent from Avis every week of the year and used to travel to Oakland to pick up my rental until I found out about this location. Service is awesome with very friendly and polite staff members; Mimi, Stephanie and Brittany just to name a few. Thank you!
