I have been renting from Enterprise for years and have never been disappointed. This was my first experience with the San Ramon location and I was very pleased. Prompt and friendly service. I rented an SUV and was happy with the performance of the vehicle for a long weekend drive to the Central Coast.
Not great overall, but OK.
This was truly by far, the worst car, I have ever rented. When I complained to the the San Ramon enterprise rental office as I picked it up, Their response was that this car was the only one available. I would have understood that if I was a "walk up", however, I had reserved in advance. They knew I was coming. And that particular car should have NEVER been allowed as a rental. It was old, grimy, and the service lights were on. Enterprise should be embarrassed to have that car in the fleet. I will think twice before renting from them again.
The first car they gave me did not have working A/C. It seemed like it was a known issue when I told them about it...so why rent it to me in the first place? Hoping I wouldn't notice?
Then they said it would be just a few minutes for another car to be ready. About 20 minutes later (almost an hour since I had originally arrived) I confronted them asking for anther car, in a different class if they had to, because it had been so long and I needed to get back to work.
People are friendly. Understand you need and serve you accordingly. I like them. They helped me out twice in getting a car quick. It was quick and easy.
They did upgrade me to a small SUV, which made the experience overall OK. But they should have offered me a different vehicle sooner. It seemed like they were hoping I would just continue to wait and not ask.
The staff and the service was A1 at this location. They were fast, friendly and gave me a nice free upgrade. They were also one of the only last minute on a Saturday locations which had a vehicle for me. I will use them again in the future. Thanks Guys at the San Ramon Location, Great Job!
